Thank You Noor #ForeverRed

Selangor Football Club (Selangor FC) today announces the departure of midfielder Noor Al Rawabdeh, following three memorable and emotional seasons with the Red Giants.

Noor leaves the club as one of the most influential midfielders ever to wear the red and yellow jersey. Arriving in the 2023 season, he quickly established himself as a key pillar in midfield. Affectionately known as ‘The Engineer’, he was not only composed under pressure and intelligent in controlling the tempo of play, but also demonstrated strong character, professionalism, and leadership both on and off the pitch, making him one of the most respected and well-regarded players at the club.

His debut season in 2023 marked the beginning of his significant impact, as he scored five Malaysia Super League goals in 22 appearances, helping Selangor FC finish second in the league and secure qualification for the AFC Champions League Two (ACL Two). From the very beginning, Noor brought stability, balance, and confidence to the midfield, becoming one of the key figures in both domestic and international competitions.

Across his time with Selangor FC, the Jordan international made 84 appearances, playing 5,874 minutes, while contributing nine goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

One of the most unforgettable moments in Selangor FC history came during the FA Cup semi-final 2024/25 against Terengganu FC. In a dramatic encounter, Noor suffered a serious head injury that required stitches. However, he chose to continue playing. He returned for the second half with his head bandaged and went on to score a crucial equalising goal for the team.

Shortly after, his journey with the club was tested again when he suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, which ended his season prematurely. Nevertheless, his discipline and strong commitment throughout rehabilitation saw him return earlier than expected around June 2025 for the Malaysia Super League campaign, after also making an appearance for Jordan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

On the international stage, his performances for Selangor FC coincided with Jordan’s historic rise, as he helped the national team reach the final of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup and helped Jordan qualify for their first FIFA World Cup this year.

Throughout his time at the club, Noor was not only a key figure in midfield but also an important presence in guiding younger players and maintaining balance within the squad structure. His character, composure, and leadership both on and off the pitch will be fondly remembered by the entire Selangor FC family as a symbol of true dedication and professionalism in a Red Giants shirt.

Selangor FC extends our deepest gratitude to Noor Al Rawabdeh for his immense contributions during his time at the club. He departs the Red Giants with the utmost respect, and his legacy will remain an important part of the club’s modern history. #ForeverRed
